The world of DĀCIL is shaped by the perspective of its founder, Dácil Morales Medina, an eye refined through fashion, art, gemology, and global discovery.

Long before global curation became commonplace, Dácil was surrounded by it. Raised in Puerto Rico, she grew up in her mother’s boutique in Condado, where each season brought thoughtfully sourced collections discovered throughout Italy, Spain, Brazil, and beyond. Those early experiences shaped an enduring appreciation for craftsmanship, originality, and the beauty of discovering what few others had found.

With a foundation in the arts, earned through her Bachelor’s degree from the School of Plastic Arts in Old San Juan, Dácil developed a deep understanding of proportion, composition, texture, and form while surrounded by some of Puerto Rico’s leading artists. That artistic perspective continues to shape the way she discovers, curates, and styles exceptional jewelry.

Her journey then led to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where she earned her credentials as a Graduate Gemologist & Graduate Jeweler, combining technical expertise in gemstones and fabrication with an already refined visual perspective. She later continued to New York’s Diamond District, where years spent sourcing exceptional gemstones, estate jewels, and rare treasures deepened her understanding of quality, provenance, and enduring value.

Today, she brings these worlds together through DĀCIL, offering a private jewelry experience unlike traditional retail. Every collection reflects a distinctive point of view; bringing together independent designers, vintage treasures, and bespoke creations from around the world for clients who value individuality, artistry, and exceptional craftsmanship.
